It is the oldest and most traditional way of hunting in Spain, The animals usually harvested are deer and wild board, but sometimes depending of the states, mouflon and fallow deer are also available.
Driven hunts takes place between October and February. This hunting method allows the possibility of obtaining 30-150 animals per day, among a group of hunters.
The driven hunt usually takes place in a very wooded area, where the hunters surround the area, each in a position previously assigned to him in a detailed hunting map. Once all hunters are ready in its positions the dogs are loosen, and guided by the beaters who push the animals towards the line of hunters.
The «Montería” is one of the most beautiful ways of hunting, offering an unique and unsurpassable level of emotion and intensity. The ability and skill of hunters is tested with difficult shoots to game in fast moving. It is a really nice and challenging experience.
